Hello guys ! I'm having really hard time with Stereohead, I recognize that I don't understand how to listen for stereo imaging, sometimes the examples seems completely stereo to me while they are at 0. Can you please link me something on the subject in order to learn how to listen for that ? Thanks.
Right. To be honest, I always take my headphones off for that game. Do you have stereo speakers as well? If you do, you will find it much easier to determine when you actually have a decent stereo spread to work with.
To all the more advanced ears out there - Any tricks on how to hear the difference between an EQ bell cut vs a shelf cut?
obviously at 1k or something it's really obvious, but say you have a bell cut or boost vs. a high shelf at 6k or a bell cut/boost at 300 vs. a Lo shelf at 200 - what are you really listening for? And how do you recommend getting better at this?
I'm finding at the stage I'm at the EQ games are finally requiring me to really distinguish between those and I'm struggling.
Sometimes I think I can hear a little resonance for the bell or sometimes for the bell I can hear a little bit of the ultra high or ultra low still remain and then I know, but mostly I can't if it's a bell at the extremes of the spectrum.
