Hello everybody! This is my first time here and here's my mix of the week - Duff – “Il Mondo E’ Impazzito”. this is one of the first jobs I did in my new control room. I made a mix on the SSL AWS900+ console, I used all 24 channels and also used the channel strip2 plugins from SSL and also I used a few hardware devices - the Lexicon 480L and MPX500 reverbs and the NEVE 33609 for parallel compression of the drums. In the version of the "mastering" track, nothing special was done: the meme saturation was applied using black box HG-2, parallel compression - elysia alpha master, a little equalization and limiting using an AOM invisible limiter G2

Wow! Thats' a great mix! I really like how you made everything sound cohesive, your SSL console sounds amazing. The saturation/drive on the bass is a little bit unusual to me, cos in the original mix was not present, but i really think does its job really well! Nice!. Maybe in some moments i hear something strange in the area <100hz...dont get exactly what. Cheers from Italy and thank you!

Thank you for your comment. really there are problems with the lo end. I'm not used to my room and my monitors yet. For bass guitar I used a darkglass pedal - it's a very interesting overdrive

Hey Dzianis, welcome and thanks for joining us! I really like how hard your mix hits, the drums in particular sound fantastic! The choruses really come in nicely too. The biggest thing is I think you pulled back a bit too much on the verses in terms of volume. The energy just seems to drop right out of the song. You can make the verses a bit softer so the chorus comes in harder but be careful not to make it too much of a dramatic drop off or it can affect the flow of the song. Try to push a few dB back into those verses and I think the mix will be in a great place. Great mix and hopefully you join us again!

Thank you for your comment. sorry, it won't work as I mixed this mix on the console and automated the analog faders. I'll try to account for that in the next mix. thanks
