I can't hear any noise while preparing for the ear doctor.
I don't think it's my ears.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution?
(Tried it on my DT1990 with external DA, Sennheiser Momentum at my Mac, and with the build-in speakers..)
Thx!

But, can you hear the 'doctor's voice before the noise moment? Have you tried any of the games to check if there's sound in those?

No, he's all right. The 'noise' you're supposed to hear when adjusting the volume, prior to the test, is just some constant white noise. Maybe you were expecting something different and that's why.

No, I was expecting white noise and there is nothing played!

Same problems, I think the ear doctor is deaf.

Well, then I think it's time to open a ticket about it.

Even though it might be thought of as cheating you can use an RTA on your phone to validate frequencies in SoundGym. In a real studio I would use it and I know I can't hear above 10K so all is fair in validating frequencies. Some speakers can't put out 12K or below 60Hz so think of it as checking your gear.

In the meantime I checked it with chrome instead of safari. No problems everything is fine. SoundGym seems to have problems with (at least my) safari. Btw: Rebeater, Metronome also dont work on my safari. Chrome fine....
