Am I the only person who think that Soundcoins collect sound is too loud and hit your ears? Especially after attentive ear training lessons?

@Colin Aiken Is that a nerdy response on my part? YES! But... is it true? I'm afraid so 😜

Just a little teasing my friend. Good to see you around here. By the way, I've really enjoyed your performance videos. You are a truly amazing guitarist. You should post some here on SoundGym.

Two years ago, as a former Abbey Road Institute student, I recorded three demos at Abbey Road Studios. Back then, I was just a beat maker and amateur instrumentalist chasing the footsteps of the greats.
I poured everything into those demos, broke conventions, and created something I’m really proud of—yet perfectionism kept it hidden.
trying to mix my own music, humbled me. Nothing worked, and I couldn’t understand why my education wasn’t enough.
Then it clicked: the missing piece wasn’t knowledge, it was ear training.
I trained intensely in 2024, returned again in 2025, and this time something changed. My ears had evolved. Balance, compression, frequencies—finally, it felt natural.
The real breakthrough wasn’t technical.
It was learning to trust the process—and myself.
That growth shaped more than my mixes.
And it wouldn’t have happened without SoundGym.
Big thanks to sound gym and the community!

TO SOUNDGYM TEAM/MODERATORS:

Hi, guys, it's 2026 and we definitely need a change in or introduction of new Vocal loops to practice with in EQ Mirror/Peak Master (especially) etc. This shouldn't be a hassle at all but I really hope that you'd take it to heart and give us something FRESH and of good quality we can practice on and enjoy. Vocal loops of different genres would be perfect but even if they are mixed genres - still great.
New songs would also be amazing, new live Drum loops and percussions for Compressionist and I believe it'd be AWESOME if you introduce Synths for Compressionist, we can practice compressing plucks and more attacky type of synth sounds there too.
Those 3 things are really needed and I mean no disrespect, only the best for the community!
