Finally under the spotlight, Jose!! After sharing time & space for quite a while now, it's nice to learn more about you and your story. I didn't know you were actually living in Spain... I hope the place is treating you right. If you ever come to Zaragoza, I'd be glad to help in any way you might need. Congrats on the nomination!
I would love to hear some honest feedback from experienced ears!
The track im sharing is Amor Hipnotico. A tech house track with vocals I recorded. I’ve been making music for about 3 years, took a year off in between, and now I’m fully back and dialed in. This track means a lot to me and I’m trying to really sharpen my sound.
Any thoughts you have, good or bad, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time 🙏
When I started DJ'ing and playing my songs next to everyone else's tracks. Mine just didn't sound good in comparison, so I started taking mixing classes online and eventually found Soundgym.
I did pitch, interval and chord quality ear training since I was 18 and I was always pretty fast grabbing the right fader to turn down the feedback, or getting my own stuff to sound okay. It was when I started talking to others without the board in front of me. I could tell a guitarist, that's a major 7 sharp 11 so I figured I should be able to tell a soundperson That's 2K! or I need you to boost 250 a couple dB, no more than that…
