Fracture by Glitchmachines, is `buffer effect geared toward creating robotic artifacts and musical malfunctions` and it is an incredibly fun and full-featured free product.Fracture can be used on pretty much any source material - from vocals to drums to sound effects - adding `glitchy articulations and abstract textures` to the source audio. This will make it a useful plug-in for producers in most electronic genres, as well as to sound designers.
It comes with 110 presets that will quickly give you a flavor of what it can do, as well as a `randomise` function that quickly sets random values to all parameters; always useful in a plug-in where sonic experimentation lies at the heart of the product`s raison d'etre.
Fracture features a buffer effect, a multimode filter, three LFOs and a delay. These effects can be re-ordered in the plug-in`s signal path, which can radically change the sound of the processed audio.
Adjusting the parameters over time with automation can produce some interesting results too. Glitchmachines suggest assigning the plug-in controls to a midi device in order to perform such control changes in real time, and this can be a really enjoyable process.

Fracture is available as a 32 or 64 bit plug-in for PC and Mac (Mac OSX 10.7 or above is required). It comes in both VST and AU versions, and you can
