SoundGym's Privacy Policy

You should read this policy in full, but here are a few key things:

  • SoundGym is public, posts and achievements are immediately viewable and searchable by anyone around the world.
  • Most activity on SoundGym is public, including your profile information, your country, your name, and your achievements on SoundGym.
  • We may use your email for updates and tips on SoundGym's products and services, and for activities notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time in your account settings.
SoundGym (`Company` or `we`) respect the privacy of SoundGym users (`User` or `you`) and are committed to protect the User's information. We believe that you have a right to know our practices regarding the information we may collect and use when you visit the SoundGym website and use the SoundGym Application, as such term is defined in the Terms of use at /site/terms (hereinafter, `SoundGym`).
By accessing and/or using SoundGym, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy, including to the collection and processing of your Personal Information (as defined below). If you disagree to any term provided herein, you may not use SoundGym.

1. How do we collect users information?

We collect information while you access or use SoundGym. In other words, when you access or use the SoundGym Application we are aware of your usage of SoundGym, and may gather, collect and record the information relating to such usage. For example, when you connect to SoundGym, your computer tells us your IP address, your country, your timezone and more.
We also collect information which you voluntarily permitted Facebook to provide us. For example, when you wish to connect to SoundGym for the first time through your Facebook account, we will ask you to allow Facebook to provide us certain information such as your name, your birthday, your Facebook friends and your Facebook profile picture.
1.1 Registration
When you create an account, we may collect your personal information such as your username, first and last name, email address, your gender, a photo and any other information you entered while creating your account. This information and additional information can be collected when you decide to signup with Facebook, or when you connect your Facebook or twitter accounts with SoundGym.
1.2 Info you added to your Profile Page
When you add pictures, music and info about yourself on your profile page.
1.3 Data collected through use of the Service
After you set up your account, we may ask or you might provide us other profile and demographic information, such as age, gender, info about your studio gear and more. We also collect information about your performance and achievements on SoundGym.
1.4 Connected social accounts
Personal Information can be gathered from Facebook (if the User holds an active account on Facebook) or Twitter (if the User holds an active account on Twitter) and which the User specifically permits Facebook or Twitter to provide SoundGym with, upon any access to or use of the SoundGym Application. This information includes first name, last name, birthday, list of your Facebook friends and more.
1.5 Info from your browser
Such as country, timezone, device, browser type and so on.
1.6 Activity on site
We may also collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit, your use of third party applications, information regarding your activity on SoundGym, and other information that assists us in analyzing and improving the Service. Although we do our best to honor the privacy preferences of our Users, we are not able to respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser at this time.

2. Purposes of collecting information

2.1 Information is collected in order to enhance the User's experience on SoundGym. And also to learn about the preferences of users and general trends on SoundGym (e.g. understand which features are more popular than others)
2.2 We may use your email for updates and tips on SoundGym's products and services, and for activities notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time in your account settings.
2.3 Information is also collected in order to:
  • Provide you with the services on SoundGym.
  • Analyzing and improving the Service.
  • Personalize your experience on SoundGym.
  • Enable the overall operation of SoundGym.
  • Personalize your experience on SoundGym.
  • Enhance other SoundGym Users experiences on SoundGym.
  • Provide you with certain information and services available only to Registered Users.
  • Enable you to connect and communicate with other users.
  • Allow us to contact you with proposals and tailored information regarding events, offers, services, etc.
  • Identify you when conducting customer service operations (such as providing feedback, etc.).

3. Sharing personal information

3.1 SoundGym is a social platform. To encourage engagement and communication most of the information you provide, your activity and your achievements on SoundGym are public and can be seen by anyone: your name, your country, your profile picture, your ranking, your achievements, and your activity on SoundGym (Including but not restricted to workout completion, personal records, days on the platform, completing a learning program, winning a contest). Your posts, comments, and probes are public. Anyone can see who you follow and who is following you. Other data, images, links or music that you upload, provide or post might be available publicly (That means that anyone can read, watch or listen to it).
3.2 You can choose to make your profile information hidden here. Please note that certain information, such as your awards, posts and other social remarks, will still be public or visible to SoundGym members.
3.3 Users that follow you with get notifications regarding your activity and achievments on SoundGym.
3.4 In the event that we are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal data may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction.
3.5 We share or disclose non-personal data, such as aggregated information like the total number of times people engaged with a post, the number of people who clicked on a particular link or voted on a poll on SoundGym (even if only one did), the topics that people are posting about in a particular location, or reports to advertisers about how many people saw or clicked on their ads.

4. Deleting your account

4.1 You must be signed in to your account in order to delete it. You can delete your account here.
4.2 Please bear in mind that, if you delete your account, data associated with your account will be deleted and will not be recoverable. Posts that you wrote can not be deleted, but it will not be referred to you anymore.
4.3 Our deletion policy upholds a user`s right to always remove their own account data, while protecting against account fraud and the deletion of data without an account owner`s consent.
4.4 We don't have control over the deleted account link showing up in Google's search results. If you have deleted your account, Google should catch up and recognize this soon. However, as they cache search results for faster loading times, they may keep your information in their search results if enough people have clicked on it in the past. To fully remove your profile/information, you will need to contact Google directly by filling in this public removal form.
4.5 If you connected to SoundGym for the first time through your active Facebook profile, then you will not be able to delete your Personal Information directly from SoundGym. This is because you originally inserted such Personal Information to your profile on Facebook. To delete this Information, you will be required to edit your Facebook profile accordingly. Such deletion of Personal Information on your Facebook profile will be reflected on your account on SoundGym thereafter.

5. Sharing personal information with third parties (other than users)

We will share Personal Information only in the following cases: (a) to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request; (b) to enforce these Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use governing the use of SoundGym, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (d) to respond to claims that any content published on SoundGym violates any right of a third-party, including copyright and/or privacy right; (e) to respond to claims that unauthorized information (e.g. phone number, name, photo, etc.) of a third-party has been posted on SoundGym; (f) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Company, its Users or the general public; (g) when Company is undergoing any change in control, including by means of merger, acquisition or purchase of all or substantially all of the assets of Company; (h) pursuant to your approval, in order to supply certain services you have requested from Company (i) to let our partners and affiliates serve you with commercials; (j) to collect, hold and manage your Personal Information through a third party's cloud based services, as reasonable for business purposes, which may be located in countries outside of my jurisdiction, including but not limited to the United States of America. (k) to use third-party analytics tools that can help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service.

6. Cookies and local storage

6.1 What is a cookie?
Also known as browser cookies or tracking cookies, cookies are small files placed onto your computer or mobile device that enables SoundGym features and functionality. For example, cookies enable us to identify your device, secure your access to SoundGym, and may help us serve relevant ads to you.
6.2 SoundGym uses cookies
We use cookies and other technologies to ensure everyone who uses SoundGym has the best possible experience. Cookies also help us keep your account safe. By continuing to visit or use our services, you are agreeing to the use of cookies and similar technologies.
6.3 What types of cookies does SoundGym use?
A persistent cookie helps us recognize you as an existing user, so it`s easier to return to SoundGym or interact with our Services without signing in again. After you sign in, a persistent cookie stays in your browser and will be read by SoundGym when you return to one of our sites or a partner site that uses our Services. Session cookies only last for as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser session).
6.4 How Soundgym use cookies?
Cookies can be used to recognize you when you visit SoundGym, remember your preferences, and give you a personalized experience that`s in line with your settings. Cookies also make your interactions with SoundGym faster and more secure. Additionally, cookies allow us to bring you personalized advertising both on and off the SoundGym Services. Cookies can tell us which language you prefer and what your communications preferences are. They can help you fill out forms on our Services more easily. They also provide you with features, insights, and customized content. Cookies help us learn how well our services perform in different locations. We also use cookies to understand, improve, and research products, features, and services, including when you access our Services from other websites, applications, or devices such as your work computer or your mobile device. We currently do not respond to do-not-track signals.
We may use cookies to show you relevant advertising both on and off our Services. We partner with third parties, such as Facebook and Google, to manage our advertising of the Products on other sites or platforms as well as across your other devices based on your past visits to our website. We may also use a cookie to learn whether someone who saw an ad later visited and took an action (e.g. made a purchase) on the advertiser`s site. Similarly, our partners may use a cookie to determine whether we`ve shown an ad and how it performed, or provide us with information about how you interact with ads. We may also work with a partner to show you an ad on or off our Services, such as after you`ve visited a partner`s site or application.
We use Google Analytics code to gather statistical information. Google Analytics sets cookies to help us accurately estimate the number of visitors to the Products and the volumes of usage of the Products. This is done to ensure that the Products are available when you want them and are fast. 

7. Remarketing

We use the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven`t completed a task on our site. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone`s past visits to SoundGym website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google`s privacy policy.
We also use Facebook Pixle to advertise on Facebook according to pages that you have visited or your performance on SoundGym.

8. Security

We take a great care in maintaining the security of SoundGym and your information and in preventing unauthorized access to it through industry standard technologies and internal procedures. However, we do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

9. Third party websites

While using SoundGym you may encounter links to third party websites. Please be advised that such third party websites are independent from SoundGym, and we assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regard to privacy matters or any other legal matter with respect to such third party websites. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies and the terms of use or service of such websites.

10. Use of SoundGym by minors

You must be 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your province, territory or country, to sign up as a registered user of SoundGym. Individuals under the age of 18, or the applicable age of majority, may utilize SoundGym only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, under such person's account and otherwise subject to these Terms.

11. Changes to the privacy policy

The terms of this Privacy Policy will govern the use of SoundGym and any information collected therein. Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time, so please re-visit this page frequently. In case of any material change, we will make reasonable efforts to post a clear notice on SoundGym.
Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective as of the stated "Last Revised" and your continued use of SoundGym on or the Last Revised date will constitute acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, those changes.
