When I started DJ'ing and playing my songs next to everyone else's tracks. Mine just didn't sound good in comparison, so I started taking mixing classes online and eventually found Soundgym.
I did pitch, interval and chord quality ear training since I was 18 and I was always pretty fast grabbing the right fader to turn down the feedback, or getting my own stuff to sound okay. It was when I started talking to others without the board in front of me. I could tell a guitarist, that's a major 7 sharp 11 so I figured I should be able to tell a soundperson That's 2K! or I need you to boost 250 a couple dB, no more than that…
Hi everyone, I just wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone here for being so awesome, and to the SoundGym team for creating this amazing space. A couple of my tracks were nominated for song of the year, and I'm both honored and flattered. I wanted to express my deepest thanks to everyone who has given me feedback in the mix critiques space, and to everyone who listened to and liked my tracks. 🤘
