Curious for those of you with Diamond Ears how long it took you to get there of (mostly) regular practice?

I'll do the math out loud, because I didn't know the answer myself.

The wallet says I had my first workout on the 20th of August 2024 and my final medal award, which is the diamond, on the 18th of June 2025. So according to this, it's nearly a year.

But, between the 20th of August 2024 and the 13th of October 2024 I had only 8 workouts, then a break, and then I bought lifetime access on the 5th of April 2025. Since then, I've been doing a workout daily.

So, I went from wherever I was with 8 free-account workouts on the 5th of April, to diamond in approximately two and a half months.

Finally, there's a caveat. It was by no means 'regular practice'. Many days during that period I would play more than the workout suggested. More games and more repetitions of the same game.

About 10 month. When working toward a goal, it's important to remember that the journey matters just as much as the destination. (I'm still enjoying the journey, with all its ups and downs. I believe persistence is key to staying the course.)

Thanks for the info all - I was just trying to gauge my progress and how slow/fast I am compared to the 'masters' 😀.

I can tell that I am hearing details that I couldn't before, so regardless of my level I am happy with my progress; and for me it is about improving what I an hearing so I can be a better engineer.

@Colin Aiken indeed! Thank you my friend! I think position 3 from public voting gets me nothing as far as prizes are concerned, but it did give me the chance for more people to hear my track, which was the real goal. :)
Now we wait for the jury voting which is totally independent of the public one, and will be announced on the 24th of August.
