Fantastic!
Hello everyone,

Im new here and was hoping I could get some advice on improving. (sry if this is the wrong section to ask this. if not please redirect me and ill move the post.

I find it that if I focus my learning on one instrument I can learn frequencies better. is it a good strategy if I focus on a certain instrument each week or should I let it be random?

Hi Amir,

I have found the same to be true in my experience; sticking to only one instrument each time you practice/exercise will help your ears acclimate to the pitch/frequencies of that instrument. Once you become comfortable with that instrument's frequencies, you can try a new instrument and you'll then have a foundation from the first instrument that you can continue to build your knowledge and understanding upon.

I hope that helps! Additionally, this is a great discussion topic, so I think you posted it in the right spot of the website.😄

First... welcome Amir !!!!

I personally prefer the challenge of dealing with whatever SoundGym throws at me. Some samples/loops are harder than others for given games, yet, in real life mixing, you don't get to choose, you have to deal with the tracks that are given to you.

Just my humble opinion... main thing, with whichever method you choose: try hard, be disciplined, have fun. You will be amazed with how you improve.

All the best !
