hi folks, yesterday someone posted their frustration with these exercises and were like “I’m canceling my membership”. I can’t find the post but I wanted to write to that person and let them know that we’ve all been there. I started using sound gym in 2019 and I could not hear the difference between compression settings at all ! now six years later, I’m starting to hear it. Wanted to tell that person that it’s OK to be frustrated. Hang in there. The value of ear training is the better you can hear, the better you can tailor the track to the artist and the song. Will help you make 2nd by second decisions about what’s best. That person seemed really frustrated. I just wanted to tell them it’s OK keep going and you’ll get through it. so if anyone can find that post, please share this with them. ty TVG
Any advice regarding how to hear the difference in delay times below 40 ms ? I use phase cancelation in the low end as an indicator, but it doesn't seems to be reliable all the time (especilally when there's not much or not a all bass freq in the sound)
Like for example, I just had a choice between 3 vs 7 ms.
Cymbals are a little bit loud, kick has good transient sound but lacks body or low end. Also I think the piano is too much forward. I like the vibe of the song, keep going!
