This is one of my favorite videos, and I thought you all might enjoy it. It's a short TV documentary showing Martin Hannett (producer, best known for Joy Division) walking Tony Wilson (the head of Factory Records) through the analog mixing process. It's July, 1980, at Strawberry Studios, Stockport, on a custom Formula Sound console, and the song is 'The Visitor' by Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls.

Does anyone know this song?
Kind of an odd question, but can I also get rid of soundpacks I've purchased? 😅

Very excited about my first Spotify release today. I hope some people here enjoy it too!

It's a melodic bass / vocal-driven EDM track with festival energy. Lead vocals by Jaime Arin (Jon Bellion, Wyclef Jean).

Hi everyone,
I've just started here 3 days ago, and I’m a total newbie (like, really new 😅). I’m struggling to understand what I’m supposed to do in the Peak Master game and how it’s different from the PanGirl game. I couldn’t find an explanation in the app, so could anyone help me, please?
Thanks!

Thank you @Artthew Ng ! I'm trying to find some videos on YT to better understand how to find the frequency that is being boosted - cause I honestly don't know how to do it lol.

Room Rebuttals
Your mixes sound like your room, whether you like it or not.

The Debate: “Untreated rooms are just as good as treated rooms.” → In some cases vs No way.
Why It Matters: Bad acoustics = bad decisions (low end lies, harsh highs, fake “clarity”).

Team In some cases or Team No way?

What’s your setup + what changed when you treated (or didn’t)?

I mixed for years in a untreated or semi treated room. Then I build a dedicated studio with a control/mix room that is treated as much as possible. The design is based around a dead end live end design. I have done some measurements and room is close to flat. It's a small room, but the insulation is very thick in some places up to 50/60cm deep. That includes the air gap.

To me the difference is not even close. If I had to use a untreated room again I would mix 100% on headphones. You also have to keep in mind that your speaker also have a sound. They also probably need calibration. There are so many things that influence the sound you hear. In my case I just tried to climate the room as much as possible.

I would say your mix doesn't sound like you room. It sound like your ears. The room or phones or speaker just bring out your preferences. A good room makes it easier to mix as it eliminates one of the variables.
