TO SOUNDGYM's TEAM:
Guys, it would be absolutely PHENOMENAL :)) if we could use EQ Mirror to practice on VOCALS and Guitars (Acoustic and Electric). But especially on Vocals, this would be such an epiphany for so many people who struggle to EQ a vocal track well in their sessions. Please consider it and please make it happen, this would be like a revolution because vox are the star of the show in probably 90% of people's productions.
Thanks and have a nice one today!
Congrats @van mooney for winning the Golden Ears Award!

We should exchange the SoundCoins for subscriptions, I'm from Colombia, and it's expensive to buy the subscription, I really love SoundGym, but I just simply cannot afford the price. I do'nt use the sound coins but I would use them in exchange for subscriptions or discounts here.

I wish... Im donating all my coins because I've gotten basically everything from the store at this point.

Same. It is a great site, good community, just expensive.

Long sessions: Breaks or Deep Focus?
Best productivity tip for long sessions: Timer + Breaks or Deep Focus + No Breaks?

🎛️ Long session ahead. How do you stay productive?
Do you work in cycles with a timer and breaks, or lock into deep focus and push straight through?

Every producer has their own workflow.

Which one actually keeps you at your best, SoundGym fam?

Kinda depends on what it is for me. If it's ear training, mix/mastering session or sound design then definitely add breaks. If it's getting an idea down i usually prefer no breaks and staying in the flow.

60 to 90 minutes deep focus, with 20 to 30 minutes of break between sessions, works wonders for me.

What is A Synthesizer? A Beginner's Guide to Audio Synthesis
If synths have always felt confusing or “too technical,” this article breaks everything down in a clear, musician-friendly way.

It covers the essentials:
• What a synthesizer actually is
• Analog vs digital synths
• Mono vs poly synths
• Oscillators, filters, LFOs, envelopes
• The most common synthesis methods (subtractive, FM, wavetable, granular & more)

For anyone using soft synths in their DAW or thinking about hardware, this is a great starting point to finally understand how sounds are created and shaped.
