Alan Midnight - Love Me

Each month we shine the spotlight on one SoundGym member by reviewing one of their tracks for our Music Spot feature. This month we focus on @Alan Midnight, a 29-year-old music producer from Poland, and his single 'Love Me'.

'Love Me' is the producer's debut single under the 'Alan Midnight' banner. Under the name 'An88', he has previously released a string melancholic, melodic synthwave tracks.

As Alan Midnight, he is updating that classic synthwave sound with the addition of more modern EDM elements. He is also adding various organic elements into the mix, such as pianos and, notably, vocals. The vocals on 'Love Me' are provided by Quincy Thompson, and they are unashamedly catchy. This comes as no surprise given the artists Alan Midnight namechecks as influences; Hall and Oates, Journey, Maroon 5 and Avicii. Midnight says of his music; 'I want to bring back [the best of the] 80's… catchy melodies, nostalgic and romantic vibe and mix it with a digital, clear modern electronic sound'. He has certainly hit the spot here, with tight, melodic production and a killer hook.
