Eitan Reiter - Fade Away

Each month we shine the spotlight on one SoundGym member by reviewing one of their tracks for our Music Spot feature. This month we focus on @Eitan Reiter, and his new single 'Fade Away'.

Reiter is a real musical chameleon, having produced and had success across a wide range of genres. He is half of Electronic duo, LOUD, he has had one of his techno tracks supported by Richie Hawtin and he has worked in genres as diverse as deep house, progressive house and world music. 'Fade Away' is the lead single from his new album Give It Life, which was recently released on new electronic imprint Armadillo Records.

On this latest single, Reiter takes the tempo down a few notches from his more dancefloor-friendly work, and creates a dark, but lush soundworld that mixes the organic and the electronic. The combination of John Barry-esque guitars and breakbeats recalls the early work of Death In Vegas or Portishead, while the multi-layered vocals of Tzlil Danin glide over and around the instruments, weaving an intricate, textural soundscape.

You can watch the award-winning video for the single above, and stream the entire album over on YouTube. You can also pick it up on iTunes and Amazon. If you like what you hear, be sure to head over to Reiter's website, Facebook and Soundcloud to hear more music from all of his many and varied projects.
