Surev – Give Me Your Love

Each month we shine the spotlight on one SoundGym member by reviewing one of their releases for our Music Spot feature. This month we focus on 'Give Me Your Love' by Surev.

Surev is based in Guadalajara, Mexico where he grew up surrounded by musical instruments. This fostered an early love of music-making, which has developed into a concerted attempt to make a career as a producer.

He is generally focussed on more energetic styles, but 'Give Me You Love' sees him bring things down a notch with a house track that is precision engineered for summer - this is music for the beach.

Tropical rhythms dance around sun-drenched plucks and a breezy vocal that could perhaps have been more prominent in the mix in order to really catch our attention. Still, the melody is infectious and the beat conjures up hazy memories of beach-side sound systems and cocktails at sunset – and during a summer when most festivals are cancelled, these are nice things to be reminded of.

Surev seems to have a very strong work ethic, and his work so far across multiple genres is impressive. If you want to hear more from this promising producer you can do so on his Soundcloud, YouTube and Spotify. You can follow him over on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
