About 10 month. When working toward a goal, it's important to remember that the journey matters just as much as the destination. (I'm still enjoying the journey, with all its ups and downs. I believe persistence is key to staying the course.)
Thanks for the info all - I was just trying to gauge my progress and how slow/fast I am compared to the 'masters' 😀.
I can tell that I am hearing details that I couldn't before, so regardless of my level I am happy with my progress; and for me it is about improving what I an hearing so I can be a better engineer.
That's the key - as long as you're seeing progress, then you're doing the right thing. I often reflect back on how much more clearly/precisely I'm hearing things, and the new things I'm hearing, compared to a year or two ago. That's my real gauge on my progress.
There's one day left for the HOFA Contest to end. I want to thank everyone who took the time to listen to my track, and special thanks to anyone who voted. I currently find myself holding the 5th position, quite close to number 4, amongst 481 tracks in my category (Rock & Heavy). If anyone who hasn't done it yet wants to vote, it can be done through the following link until the 20th of August:
@K Y W let me know what you think :) @Colin Aiken indeed! Thank you my friend! I think position 3 from public voting gets me nothing as far as prizes are concerned, but it did give me the chance for more people to hear my track, which was the real goal. :) Now we wait for the jury voting which is totally independent of the public one, and will be announced on the 24th of August.
