Music Spot: Aaron Boles - No Parking
“No Parking” turns an endless search for a spot into a personal journey, caught “Dodging murals and divided lines,” then jolted by a surprise 2:20 halftime breakdown and shifting rhythms throughout.

No Parking by @Aaron Boles is this month’s Music Spot!

The track features the following: Aaron on Mixing, Mastering, and Guitar. Anisa for the Bass and Harmonies, Josh on the Drums and Synth, and Yaz on the Vocals.

Modern release culture has producers torn
The Debate: Should you release now and keep momentum moving, or hold the track until it feels fully finished?

One side values speed, feedback, and consistency. The other values craft, detail, and protecting the song from going out too early.

Why It Matters: The choice affects growth, confidence, and the quality standard you train into your work.

Team Release Now or Team Perfect It First? Why?

I composed my first release 1 year before publish it.. I was not sure of the mix/master so I decided to leave it aside for few months.

This is a tricky one. The real answer is somewhere in between.
No, you shouldn't be churning out slop cause you can't be bothered to put more elbow grease into it but you also shouldn't be waiting to perfect anything.
If the reason you're not releasing is because you're legitimately not done and you need to learn more or do more before it's ready, keep working on it, no question.
If you're not sure why you're not releasing it, it just doesn't feel right - now's probably the time. Releasing music is as much a growth experience as making it. Fear shouldn't be driving the ship.
OK, I had some time in the morning today and decided to play Boost Champ. I've spent more than 400 soundcoins and managed only one game with 0 losses - it was not even my top game! I can't seem to keep such focused attention for 1 minute (a voice in my head calmly repeats: ADD). Am I the only one with that bad ratio of soundcoins to lossless games?

No, you're not the only one :) Even though I only needed about 100 soundcoins today to get through it without any errors, I know exactly what you mean. I think an important thing is not to get upset and to stay focused. And I have a feeling this task will be with me forever. Sometimes, though, the game seems to be deliberately trying to trick you :)

@Helmut Mair I totally experience what you are saying! I really find it difficult to stay alert for 1 minute. I'll try what Cindy said above. Not getting upset is really a skill I need to work on for these games. Perhaps I should refresh the game less often as well.

goated, good stuff. What virtual instruments brands did you use? Like Kontakt, logic exct...

Tip: I think the thumb snapping perhaps needs a touch of room and reverb so it feels more part of the atmosphere.

There is a great course for free online by mastering.com that talks all about reverb, if you haven't watched it already, I highly recommend you. I found it to be very helpful
