Hi, I would like to ask about your hints and suggestion related to mixing and mastering a nylon-string Spanish guitar track that I recently created. I chose an unaware approach to EQ, compression, levels, reverb on the guitar and panning (position in stereo) for it and would like to know a more sophisticated approach or tricks. There are two tracks, a rhythm sample and a guitar recording. Thank you everybody for the critique and hints! https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/WIh18NYIUi0
First of, this sounds great...I love the spanish vibes. Mix wise you have the freedom cause there aren't any other melody instruments competing for space. I'd only suggest using an EQ boost to highlight the highs of the guitar a bit better and a boost somewhere around 100hz to give the guitar more warmth. Also increase the decay time of the reverb and send it through as a return track....all in all bravo!
cool, thanks for the direct advice, Cedz, I will try to adjust the track!
