Hello, I'm hoping you could help me by absolutely tearing my most recent mix apart.
I feel I might be overthinking the sense of space in the mix, because there's a lot of bare elements, that I have a tendency to overfill with reverb and delays.
I also am not sure if the chorus has as much punch as I'd like, but I don't know how to fix this.
Thanks all !!!

as they say 'you don't need to fix what works')))
I mean you don't know if the punch chorus is enough or not. we do not know exactly how you wanted it))).
in my opinion - everything is very, very not bad. I can't do that yet. that's why I don't see any flaws

Tight mix. Doesn't feel bloated with reverb and delay. Space and width is good - your drops help with that. Chorus punches well to me, but if you wanted more punch, I might bring up the Snare (give it a nice crack) or add a clap behind it. Overall I'm not hearing much of anything that needs adjustment. We'll done!

Hi Joel,

please keep in mind that I am a novice. In my headphones, I felt that the kick-drum stole a lot of attention from the vocals.

All the best,

Ronny

Nice song. I like the brightness of the main vocal. I'd like the kick to have a bit more punch to it. The bass seems a bit muddied. I feel like to low end could have some more separation. Perhaps EQ the background vocals in a way to help them stand out a bit more from the main. These are all minor tweaks. You're well on your way!

For "Punch" you just need a high dynamic range in the sub part with aprupt changes. It's about the difference. Also the kick is important for it, yours seems to have mainly "punch" and some small clip and is a short one, If you had one with more highs it could impact it as well. I'd recommend adding some sub bass for punchyness. I hope that is what you've meant with "punchy". You could also play with the dynamics of the background vocals to create more "punch". I hope it wasnt too confusing and i were able to help somewhat. Cool track in general, I think it is already pretty good :)
