Looking for *specific* help with this track. Are the vocals loud enough? Should I use spectral subtractive EQ to slightly remove frequencies in the lead vocal from the rest of the track? I feel like it maybe fighting for the front row seat in some areas. Also, does the short ambient reverb on the vocals sound okay in the mix? I was thinking it was okay but I might try a smooth plate if ya'll think that would work better. Any other tips are welcome! I'm set to release this Feb 14th just trying to put the finishing touches on it.

Thanks man!! Yeah, I actually bumped the first verse up a db compared to everything else already. Might turn the compressor ratio up a tiny bit and bump the output up a db and see how that sounds. That was exactly what I needed to hear!!

Also, I use Melodyne. I might try making quiet parts louder by like 15% and see if that works as well since that is at the very beginning of the chain

I would agree with Jason, I think the vocals are battling with with guitar a bit to much for my liking. Plus the singer's voice is really beautiful so I wanna focus on that. The reverb dropout at 2:18 is NICE!!

Heck yeah! That's my favorite part of the song. I'm the singer, so thank you kindly. I used to be quite horrendous at singing

Sounds great!, makes me curious of what a stripped bak version would sound like. I am still in my horrendous singing phase so gives me hope lol

Oh yeah, just keep at it. If you start with a bad voice, you'll usually have a more unique sound once you actually find your voice as they say 😌 but I doubt you are as bad as you think. We are our worst critics
