hello everyone

This was a song from a very and seldom mixed different genre, with different instruments to mix.
In my view a very nice song - "A Sailor once more".

I used API and Fabfilter plugins.
I thought the piano can only be heard in some parts, because it is a rather dense mix.

And here is my version of the song:

Hi Klaus! It WAS a very dense song, wasn't it?
I feel the arp guitar is a little loud and just like my own mix it could maybe use some weeding out in the high-low and/or low mid frequency area's.

Hi Klaus. Good overal sound, but on headphones the panning of the guitars is a bit to wide for me, the left guitar feels detached from the band, probably better on speakers. But nice to hear your version!

Hey Klaus, the guitars are too wide and too loud, the mix lacks a bit of glue, maybe turnin up the drum and the bass (just a bit) could blend better all the instruments.. nice one! ;P

Hey @Klaus Ferretti, I'm digging the percussion being over to the right. It seems to balance the guitars on the left. I am hearing the phase issue with the bagpipes, one mic was out of phase with the other. Not a big deal though.

I think the main issue here is building depth in a dense mix. Everything feels forward and in my face. Have you tried increasing the compressor time to see how it can push something back in the mix?

Hey Klaus, nice job with the high end on this mix, I think everything sounds really present and well defined in terms of the vocals/guitars/pipes/flutes etc... The low end definitely needs a bit of love, the bass is really quiet. I'm not sure if it just needs volume or if you need to go in and give it a bit more of an aggressive boost EQ wise, it will really help balance out the whole track once you do though and you'll have a pretty slick mix to show for it. Nicely done!

Hi Klaus, it is pleasure listen to your mix. Just one thing. It was a king of irritating to me, that the guitar was so much on the left side. That is all. Liked it :)
