Better late than never. Here's my mix of Pete Mroz – “Open Up Your Eyes”.

Really fun to mix. Not much to say about what I did. Struggled a bit with the drums but that's normal. Let me know what is sounds like on your system. Thanks

Nice mix Leight,

For my taste, i think it needs a little more acoustic guitar .
Nice job

Hey Leigh, I think the mix sounds pretty good overall, but the chorus seems to drop in terms of energy, which may be due to the drums being so low. Try to bring them up a bit and see if that helps. Really like how you processed the piano too, by the way, sounds very wide!

Hey Leigh, good mix! Don't know if it's the reverb but I think I'd cut out a bit of low-mids on the lead vocals to make it breathe

@Ben Sinclair ha ha. I tricked you via other elements having width i guess. I absolutely did nothing to the piano except a high pass around 200hz. It's voodoo! Also, I always mix hybrid out of the box and I run through a board, so the width might be there because of how the electronics treat the sounds. @MAGGHY JI I didn't hear what you're hearing at the time of mix. I will check for that. All of my eq's on my fx are always high passed usually around 500hz. If something bugs me I'll move it around. My Youtube channel demands that I make and mix 2-3 two minute songs a week. It's teaching me how to be quick and make decisions on the fly. I'm in "don't over think it mode". This mix was just under an hour. About 45 on first sitting and around 10-15min on touch ups. I'm happy about that because now I'm not spending 3-4 days on a mix. :)
