My first reggaeton, is not my favorite style but I had a great time. I have given priority to rhythm and voice, which from what I have seen is what is done in this genre. The voice was poorly recorded, with a lot of room sound and clipping in the loud parts, I applied de-reverb and de-clipping to fix it. I entertained myself with backing voices with phone and delay effects to differentiate them from the lead voice. I intentionally left the guitars in the background. There are a lot of percussion elements in the high frequencies that I’ve tried to control because I think they distract too much attention. Constructive and destructive criticism is welcome
Hey Enric, you always use cool effects on vocals, I like them, but I think vocals are a bit loud compared to the instruments and seem a bit disconnected (especially on the verses). Good mix! ;p
It's a place where ones who want to improve their mixing skills can join their forces with an aim to make the process less boring and more productive
