Hi all!
My mix for Kat Wright's "Contact": https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S90G66OClpXgz2kWCkLJ8_YbxwnBfcqr/view?usp=sharing

I felt the vocals were really hard to mix: quite inconsistent in level and lots of mic bleed. I automated the vocals quite a lot. Besides that, a bit of reverb and delay for the vocals, and reverb for the Horns. Let me know if I messed with the reverb, I tend to overdo it all the time:P

PS: a few instances of "The Lick"™ on this song :P

Hi! Your mix sounds very good to me. About fx on vocals probably you could lowpass a little bit the delay to make it more subtle, I feel especially on s's is a little bit too apparent on the right speaker. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment @Totonno Nevone ! I will check that about the delay! I put a de-esser only on the vocals channel, perhaps I should filter sibilances on reverbs and vocals as well as you say.

It is quite good but it has things that I do not know if they are my personal taste or are really wrong, the bass balance, the hi-hat lowers it in a piece of the song in an exaggerated way, and I am not clear if it is because of the eq of the low but the rest of the instruments sound to me as if they are balanced with each other but they lack air as if they were all sounding with prominence in frequencies between 1k and 4k and the zone from 5k to 10k was too low, es solo una opinion yo no he hecho el ejercicio no se si podria sonar como imagino

Thanks Rafa! It might be the case, I automated volume slightly different in every section for most instruments, so it might be that high frequencies got lost in some spots, I'll take a look!

Hi Infaust, nice mix! I like the delay you added to the vocal. But in the quite parts it is a bit too obvious for my taste.
Also the open hihat on the left is a bit too strong.

Hey Infaust _ I like how you emphasized the bass but it contributes in creating a bit of confusion on the lows, the vocal sounds a bit "closed" and the hats on the left tend to distract me they're too loud and too "panned", nice mix! ;p

Hey! Thanks Anne and Magghy! I think I filtered too much lows on the vocals to try to get rid of the mic bleed. And yes the hats are definitely too loud.
