I felt like I needed to redeem myself after last week's entry, not sure I've achieved that, but I am happier with this week's mix :) In hindsight, I think I would/should have replaced the kick & snare instead of fighting with those. Maybe a bass reamp too. But I didn't :D I also left a few things on the table, but there's only so much time & effort in a week :) This one lends itself to some creativity, looking forward to hearing how others approached it. Thanks for listening!
Great mix everything sounds clear. Maybe make that lead guitar a little louder around 1:00 and after the dreamy section for my taste. The ending is well done
Pretty nice! I thought your drums had a great vibe. For me the choice of delay or verb on the first guitar is too long and/or too loud. The tambo seems a little too loud and forward at times--especially when the mix is less dense. During the bridge the guitar on the left competes for attention to much compared to the vocals. Could just reduce the level or find a way to push it back in the mix maybe.
Wow! It sounds incredibly in-your-face! I had my headphones at a high volume, and I think it even messed up my hair! :-) For my personal taste, I would check the 3-4 kHz frequencies in the double-tracked guitars because they sound a bit harsh to me.
Hi Jason, Very cool sounding punchy and full mix - I like it! Agree with Tyson regarding the effect which is pretty obvious in the beginning, that's a bit distracting for me. Vocals are a bit too direct and dry, which is also kind of distracting for me.
Hey Jason, nice one! I agree with Clemens on the vocals and with Jesai on the drums, the guitars are a bit frizzy on the high region.. I like the last section with the backing vox ;P
Hi Jason, that's a really nice mix, like almost everything about the mix. Only the high mids on the kick is a little bit too much for my taste. Congratulation, cool mix!
@Vitalii Mizhenin - i think -11, definitely louder than I usually go :)
