Hi Lucien, I don't understand the 'gated' count in, but when the band starts i think it sound nice and solid. For my taste the vocal is a bit upfront and the vocal delay a bit loud. But nice to hear your mix and i would like to hear your comment on mine!

Hi friend.
I have listened to your work and can make a number of comments, but they are all very subjective. Therefore, you should not take my comments very seriously, since I am not a professional myself. I am a novice sound engineer myself.
1) I didn't have enough guitars
2) Pianos are loud in places.
3) The bass is very loud
4) There is too much reverb on drums, especially on the small drum there is a long tail (this is not a mistake, it's just distracting in my opinion), because of the large number of ribs, the drums have gone very far into the background, and the big drum is very quiet.
5) The voice sounds very strange, you probably used either slape delay, or maybe you used some kind of plugin like Waves Doubler.
6) due to the wrong arrangement of instruments (incorrect reverberation distribution + frequency correction), the song does not feel the depth

You can find fault endlessly with any work, including mine, which I'm sure has a lot of mistakes (I've been mixing music for about one year), but I want to emphasize the most important thing-judging by your message, you tried very hard, which means sooner or later I'm sure you will succeed. good luck to you !

Hey man, yes not bad. There's just a few balancing issues that need to be addressed. Start by lowering the vocal volume with a little less spreader. I think the music is pretty cool. Just a few things to fix. Good job.

Hey Lucien, I hear too much reverb on the drum too, and I'd lower the piano and lead vocals. I like the effect you used on the vox but maybe with some automations it could fit better into the whole mix (using that effect only on the choruses to create variations, for example).. good mix! ;P

Thanks all, for your comment, really appreciate.
I have some difficulty.
One is to find the genre (my current music is zouk), and to make the good balance, on this case, i thinks, it's some things like rock.
Other, i mix with headphone, not so easy with the reverb.
Thanks again.

Hi Lucien, how are you? Nice mix. For my ears, maybe change some balance between instruments and vocals. Instruments are a little bit to loud. But these are just my 2 cents.

Hey @Lucien LADJYN , The vocals and bass are definitely dominating the mix. Thinning out the bass on this mix, to me, was the secret to getting clarity. Try muting the Bass and listen to what it's masking.

Definitely on the heavy verb side. There's a rule of thumb with reverb. Set it to where you like it, then pull it back by 10% and it's more than likely in a good spot. Drier is better than wetter, IMO.
