Here's my mix of Sonnet And Alcohol - “Back To The Nineties”.

Pretty fun but definitely a tough one. This one was kind of all over the map. His voice is pretty harsh so sometimes I think it's better to tuck it in rather than show it off. And wow the guitars. I just panned them out and cleared the middle for the drums and bass. This is one of those recordings that show a mixer's true talent - but it's what we need. If you can get this one sounding semi decent, you're doing pretty good.

Hi Leigh, nice to hear your mix, i like the low end and the clean sound. balance is also good. Compared to my mix it's a bit sweeter, that's a matter of choice, and i like your choice!

Hi Leigh, the vocal is a bit far away for my taste. The drum is great, but there is this loud ride-cymbal. nice work!

I like the mix ..guitars sound good though a bit lost in places.. the Panning works for me
I agree with the vocals.. need to be brought forward.. Maybe use some Parallel compression?

Everything is fine, except that the voice dynamics jumps a lot

Hey Leigh, good job! I agree with Jeremy, for me you can turn down the drum or turn up the gtrs and vocals ;p

Hey @Leigh #111 , The mix feels nice and open, booyah. I actually like where you have the vocals, seems appropriate for the genre. The snare has some paper in it. Did you check the phase with the overheads? Maybe just a touch more release on the drum bus compressor to push the drums back a touch. Great mix.
