🔃 Revision Day ✔️ ( OPTIONAL ) -------------------------- 🏁 Hi guys! Here we can repost the mix of the previous week and see if it sounds better compared to the older one (made before others feedback)
🎶 The song was: Produce Like A Pro – “Come Together Cover”🎶 - Post the link of both: the old mix and the new one, in the comment section below! ⬇️ -
Hello! Here is my revision of come together! As suggested I gave more power and clearness to the kick, panned the guitars L+R , did some side chain eq for the vocals to get them out of the guitars and revised the leveling.
I found some of the instruments a bit difficult to deal with (the vocals and bass), but I had fun on this, mostly just using EQ, compression and tape emulation, but also adding a kick sample.
Hey Kojei, I dig the vibe - very deep bass and mono drums creates a nice contrast with the guitars and kick. I just feel like maybe the overheads could be a tiny bit brighter against the guitars
Ziggy, some really cool business with switching between the really wide guitar and more centred thing. For me the whole vibe is just, ahhh, very compressed, but obviously that's what you've gone for. I think it could be even better, if it would breathe a tiny bit.
J N I really appreciate your attention to the spatial interaction between the guitars. I've been betting on this from the very beginning! ) As for overcompression, I agree. I drew attention to this already at a rather late stage of work. I didn't risk trying to fix it - I could have just ruined the mix. besides, it really seemed to me (and continues to seem))) that this is what I've gone for ))))
what would you say about the evolution from the old version to the new one?
This is my last version, i totaly restart and keep the good things... and i found this better...
1 props
