hey everyone, after two years without mixing anything, i'm trying to find my way back to music production. now i miss all the spare time i had before having a full time job hah.

with your permission, i only mixed an excerpt from 'allen stone- naturally' (the final bit) as i progress with these drills i will try to mix larger parts of the song.

Hi Daniels, feels good to be back at mixing after 2 years huh??? welcome back :D
Okay at least to me, it sounds as if I as the listener was closer to the drums than anything else and the rest was 20 meters apart from me. Maybe give the vocals some more decibels to bring them closer to me hehe. But I admit these vocals were very hard as you had to cope with the cymbals creeping around.

But yeah really nice comeback, your mix doesnt have any harsh section which is really hard to achieve and is enjoyable. ncie job :)

Hey Daniels nice one! The vocals need more presence (volume) and the backing ones are a bit low-mid heavy, as Dzianis said the drum kit (especially the kick) is too loud compared to the other elements ;P
