Hi everyone, Am I the only one hearing drastic level changes in Distorted Reality amongst others, somehow not every question, but for a few times in a row, number 9. Levels are also inconsistent sometimes in Dr comp, not too sure how these exercices are made. Are they generated or are they pre made "by hand"? Is there a "loudness" check more than a level check perhaps? Obviously not concerning Eq games or dB... Is it all by design, or as some'd say in the live industry, an artistic choice :) ? No biggy. Just wondering... Makes it tuffer. But tuff is good rite?
Valid with horns, song, and other but not all. I think its not valid with Vocals. When in question 9 one of the sounds is lower, it's the distorted one. I hqd some series with dr.comp which seemed to have some questions numbers in particular that where lower. Something like 6, 8 and 10 a few times in a row, for a few days. Not sure its not related to the game level at which you are. I have less of this trouble now with dr.comp. Anybody else or is it just me?
Sure Ill try and do that. It happens across different computer/sound interface. Ill try to do a capture with OBS and some VUs somehow. Not complaining really just wondering how the exercices are built because the series are different everytime it seems (not always in Tonegym) yet some weird things are repetitive... I still love this website :)
It's definitely there, and I can't think of why it could not be a bug. I'm at level 32, and these differences in volume only started to happen at around 30. Or maybe a bug (or an intentional "feature") was introduced at the time I reached that level. The gain is obviously lower across full dynamics, it's not just the transients that get quieter. Also, at this level, the differences should be subtle, and the volume drop is definitely not.
@Mr. Presqu - not sure about Distorted Reality, but for Dr. Compressor - the differences in level are due to the compression. Sometimes things sound louder or softer in a 'deceiving' way - possibly because of timbral changes - but there is no offset in level other than the compression.
I would recommend listening to the full loop at least once on each 'side' and try to notice compresson/level differences for the same section of the loop.
