I just reached level 46 at Delay Control and I'm better than 99.9% of users at this game.
Just wondering who's at higher levels? It becomes really really hard at this point!

What is the difference in delay that you have to hear at that level? I am around level 10 and have to hear differences between 20 and 40 ms.

I fold, I'm only better than 99.09% of users at this game at at level 24 (I'm a slacker)...

I have to wonder.... How on god's green earth do you hear the difference at that point? Tonal and/or phasing? I'm at level 19 and am getting some 1ms vs 5ms and it just ruins me.

Stuck at level 32 -for about 2 years now-, I started looking for information about tonal change, phasing, Haas effect, comb filtering, the holy trinity, you name it. I passed from being unable to spot the difference between 1 and 5 ms. to being unable to name the effect I supposedly was hearing. đŸ˜…

That's impressive! I guess you this game a lot; I find it very hard. Do you like to use a specific sound? I usually use piano (short sounds with fast attacks make easier to hear the delay)

I only use electric guitar sounds for this game.
I hear timbral differences due to comb filtering/phasing/haas effect, but it's not so easy cause the timbral difference at a given delay changes depending on the type of guitar sound.
Overall, to my ears delays at 1-2-3 ms sound more phasey, there are more frequencies boosted and attenuated.
At this point, it takes me about 30-40 minutes to move on to the next level, repeating the games continuously.

Grazie! I'll try electric guitar as well!

I have a lot of trouble with the short delays. I do the daily workouts, I do not spend more than an hour on SoundGym if I can help it. I got other things to do. I am going to check out the piano one, I usually use guitars.
