I would recommend the app Perfect Ear, as well as MusicTheory.net or TonedEar.com - all of these are free. I feel like SoundGym will have to offer something pretty amazing for it to be worth paying for.
Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'll have a look. However, I really like Soundgym's gamelike approach, and it's community (which is you guys), so I prefer to have it here. :)
