Hey guys. I haven't recorded a great deal and have been asked to record a band with the reference track
Hole - Burn Black


Just wanted to see what you guys hear in regards to dynamic range etc.

I'm not hearing a track that is far less compressed than your usual radio hit. vocals are definitely at the forefront of the mix and feel like its heavy in the 1k area of the mids?
Toms seem like they had a dedicated microphone. Can hear them quite clearly in the right side of the stereo field. Not sure if snare is centre, but it sounds like it could be slightly left.
