SoundGym

It would be great if you could look back over a game you've just played to listen and learn from your mistakes

With most of the games you can use a practice mode. So you can calibrate your ears before playing the game. And of course, you could just record some of the sounds into your DAW and try out different settings. 😉

Pro tip of the Day! 😉

If not already, using the 'C' keyboard command to compare answers can be helpful

For those that don't about this, you can press the “C” key immediately after selecting your answers (right or wrong) so you can hear and compare the difference between them.

The C key works for EQ Knight, Dr. Compressor, DB King, Filter Expert, Delay Control, Distorted Reality & Reverb Wizard , very helpful indeed.

You have about ~1 second or so to press (not hold) the C key after answering (if its already advanced to next question, you missed it). You can also use the arrow keys to select between the samples, press C again to continue with game.

Enjoy!

Well, maybe soundgym can take notes and prolong this time from 1 second to 5 seconds or so, so that one doesn't have to develop finger reflexes and anxiety around whether they'll be quick enough to catch the moment and be able to compare. After all we pay for that and it would be nice from them to change such things according to user feedback.
