There has been some real progress made on most of the games (including those having to do with EQ) except EQ Cheetah- after several months I am still on Level 1. Any suggestions?

Do the practice mode starting with White Noise, take some notes maybe, and change the sound source.

Practice Peak Master a lot, since EQ Cheetah is basically Peak Master sped up.

i find eq cheetah a lot easier to do with full tracks (especially in the denser genres) than on individual instruments. but do practice peak master and feedback eliminator also!

The other thing is that with EQ cheetah, it's better to take a second to think rather than to guess and get it wrong. Click the eq on and off once or twice if you're not sure!

You could turn EQ Cheetah off for now (using the Gym page Workout preferences) then come back to it later in a few months, after you've gained better EQ listening skills.

It's taken me a long time to get to level 2 but I finally did it!! LOL. For me, I found that using the back and forth arrow keys on my keyboard was faster than my mouse. So I did that with the left hand and clicked with mouse with right hand. And then like someone said...if not sure, listen a little longer is better than getting it wrong which eats up so much time. Good luck...keep at it and you will get there!! Because I felt like you describe...

Any time I've leveled up in EQ Cheetah I've had to at least do some of them without taking the time to tab back and forth between the before and after. I think you have to just do the exercise a lot so you start to remember what it should sound like unaltered.

Practice Peak Master but try to focus on answering quickly and not overthinking it. EQ Cheetah is really meant to test your instinctual reactions to frequencies so unless you've been ear training for a really long time, it's okay if you haven't made much progress on it.

So I'm not the only one who's slow to level that one? :)

As Steven mentioned, not taking time to switch the before and after, that's the only way I was able to start leveling too, I try to select those I can hear already without it, and only click before/after buttons when not sure.

Was just thinking the same thing. And just tried a little bit of not switching EQ off and on. It helped a bit but clearly I still have some work to do!

This changed the game for me, really makes you hear the frequency boosts in a deeper way. Once you can hear the vowels appear in a boost, its really easy to build intuition with this. Good luck and studies
