Does anyone else wonder how they'll ever complete EQ Cheetah?! I literally don't think I can flick between the EQs of 25 songs in 60 seconds, let alone pick the correct one as well - and if you get one wrong answer, the app seems to take too long to load the next song \_(ツ)_/

Don't flick. Listen, identify the coloration of the sound, click, and move on. In the lower levels the answer bar is so big you can just devide the frequency range in two categories, high and low. Does this sound like there is a boost in a high frequency or a low frequency? As you progress, you devide it in 3 ranges (high mid low), four, and more and more till eventually you'll just get the frequencies

Also, use the "Practice Mode" option as well. This will allow you to sweep the frequency and turn on/off to help you identify, without the time pressure of the game, check it out!

It helps to select the same soundset for a while or at least when you click "play again". That way you will recognise the coloration quicker (where @Mark Opfer was talking about). In the end, it takes time to familiarize with all the frequency bands.

you can do it just remember to train your ears to the basic lows mis and highs, I forever thought I couldn't do it until I started understanding all the frequencies sounds, I obviously can't tell them within 50hz but I at least can get a ballpark, and with the q being so big in the game I believe in you that you can do it!
Like all of everything to do with sound gym...KEEP TRYING!!!!

As somebody who is also pretty new, I thought I'd give some tips on what has worked for me. I struggled with Cheetah at first but I cleared level 4 today and now it's one of my highest-percentile games. The biggest thing is practice. Also never toggle. You should hear what is boosted immediately. If not, guess. Toggling will take more time than the time penalty for getting it wrong. On the practice front, EQ cheetah is the only game I play every day even if it doesn't come up on the workout (my performance on the other EQ games has improved since I started doing this), and I will play it multiple times per session. Roughly 1/3 of my total soundgym games are Cheetah now. That also lets you run things back with multiple instruments, I do better on some (guitars, drum set) than others (horns, vocals). I also do better on the artist samples than the instruments by themselves, probably because there are just more tones to listen for. So as you get more soundcoins and spend it on that it could help. Practicing more will give you a better sense of what each clip is "supposed" to sound like, particularly as they come up in other games. Hope this helped!

Thank you all, especially @Mark Opfer , @Daniel Brim , @Alex Mckeon for the great tips! @Sin Nias - nope sorry, I meant the game itself.
