My university proffesor was way over 80, and his hearing was top level. Train your ears, take care of them and your hearing will be fine.

@BlackFish . That's good to know. I did very badly on the Soundgym hearing test, but the audiologist said my hearing was pretty good except for some higher frequencies in one ear. I am not sure how accurate the SG it is. One thing I have learned from SG is that it is key to notice elements of sounds that you might not have noticed before. Even as a musician, I am learning to hear differently. If anyone is wondering, I am nowhere near 80.
