I would like a little more guidance in terms of using the proper or really simplest music vocabulary to help understand what it is about the workout that I don't understand.

Can you send a screenshot of one place in the workout where you're having a problem understanding, along with any question(s) you have?

The peak limiter is proving problematic. I also think it could also be that I'm getting ahead of myself and not being patient enough to let my ears adjust to what it is that I'm hearing/not hearing.

Do you mean the game called 'Peak Master'? If so, have you tried out the Practice Mode down on the bottom right of the Peak Master page?

Yeah, I meant peak master. I'll do the practices a little more before diving into the actual games themselves, at least the ones I'm struggling with. I guess I'm searching for some sort of vocabulary to describe what it is that I should be listening for.

SOUND GYM PEAK MASTER (and other EQ games) TIP:

Here’s how I do it: listen between the original and boosted signal for these accentuated vowel sounds in the boosted signal (they’re not exact to the hertz, but thinking with these guideposts has helped me):

125 Hz: UH
250 Hz: OOH
500 Hz: OH
1 kHz: AH
2 kHz: EH (nasal sounding)
4 kHz: EE
8 kHz: IH (the i has a short i sound as in the word ”if)

If you hear a blend of two adjacent vowel sound syllables, then just guess which one you hear more of, then extrapolate.

+1 to what John said (: though 8khz is an s for me. There's a video on this as well - here's a post from before for reference https://www.soundgym.co/space/talk?id=EQPL4AJJKMD&t=1B0MQSJOXIW
