im fairly new in this community and just hit Iron Ears. Got a couple of problems with detecting nuances even in the earlier stages of some games (Especially all Stereo Field related games are messing with me). On some days i really seem to destroy a couple of games, while on the next day i fail at them miserably. This inconsistency is bothering me. I got my Headphones (Beyerdyn. DT900 Pro X) pluged directly into my Laptop. Do you guys think an audio interface would lead to a much clearer sound and would make some games easier? Not looking for a cheatcode here, but dont wanna get hold back by my equipment either.
I can help you with the Stereohead game for starters, as I do everything on headphones (Sennheiser HD/600s and Sonarworks). That game will hit around 0.5 more often than not. It also likes 0.3 and around 0.8. anything beyond 0.8 is so dramatic that it's practically a gimme. Once you have an idea in your head where 0.5 sits, you can compartmentalize the space on either side of it. As with many of these games, relativity is your friend. Learn what a 0.65 sounds like after a 0.5. Also, if you're unsure, use the range you're allowed to get it right to your advantage, as in, if it's way on one side, don't go all the way to 0.9 - bracket the area which gives you the best chance of success. If it sounds like mono make sure your brackets meet right at 0 so that you don't overlap and sacrifice any success on either side. You'll learn over time how refine this process. With Stereohead, after a while the brackets get so narrow that you have to be close enough to hear the green jingle every time in order to get it right. I'm on Level 29 and clear the next level only on a good (or lucky) day.
Don't get discouraged over your progress. I'm quite a ways into it and still have good and bad days. The good days seem to come when something clicks, or when I'm going into the daily training with no expectations. You need the bad days to remind you that you're not quite there yet. Good luck!
Thank you very much for your Help and kind Words. That was very Helpful.
