Feedback please? ive just recently finished about 90% of the course and ive rewatched the mastering section so many times because i wanted to master my own track cleanly for the first time. to my ears it sounds good there isnt much rumble and the track is around -14LUFS. however ive listened to it so many times i have a feeling im missing something or the entire thing sounds like crap and i cant notice it. any feedback please?

Geat man! It’s hard te judge when not able to reference it with the actual mix, but I think it sound cool overall and has a lot of energy. It could actually benefit from some extra presence in the mids and I’d say to tame the highs a tiny bit. There’s a pretty clear fletcher munson curve going on which isn’t bad, but some extra presence in the mids should really make it pop . Also gives it a little more perceivable loudness and a little louder than -14 lufs is welcome imo, especially since it’s EDM. Final master 1 V3;)?

I agree with Jelle on all points. Especially the beginning sounds very sharp. In addition, I find the interplay between bass and bass drum not yet optimal, they stand somewhat uninvolved next to each other. However, I don't know if this can be changed during mastering. That depends very much on the source material.

Thanks for your bravery friend. I will ask the same in future. I think the mix itself is quite good and that any problems that exist could be in the domain of composition and arrangement - vox and keys as well as blips are (to my ears) fighting for the same tonal space. Sequencing could space events to reduce implicit tonal collision, or transposition of managed elements above or below the predominant tonality, but that's just an intuitive first guess. You are on path IMHO :)
