What's good people, quick question...
which DAW do you find has the best STOCK mixing and mastering features?
Personally I use Ableton for everything and I find that some of my masters don't sound as big as my fellow Producers' who use say FL Studio for post production. Thanks, big help!

Good question, I'm interested in this too. When I play in Ableton, and then unload and play wav, I feel the difference. Maybe it makes sense to unload along the tracks and collect it in another DAW? But logically, the uploaded tracks will also be with loss in quality. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? And I have another question, but on the topic. When I resample some synth to an audio track, is there a loss of quality? I can't
seem to hear it, but it worries me)

a lot of people who use FL love soft clipper. Maybe try a 3rd party soft clipper?

I'm not sure about the loss in quality but it happens.. I don't know why it does that...hopefully more people will see this and share some ideas.

Definitely Logic!!! Ive been using FL before and since I changed to Logic, its stock plugins is one of the best thing !!! ;) They even have premade chains to get you started, really useful !

yeah, overall Logic stock plug-ins are very good. And Logic's huge instrument and sound library is phenomenal. Even wiith Omnisphere and tons of Kontakt libraries, I still make use of logic instruments in my productions, and the good drum sounds are damn near endless. Definitely if sticking to strictly stock sounds and stock plugins Logic is the best bang for the buck.

Funny enough, I just got FL, but I haven't even taken time to learn it and see how the sound compares, cause I've been on a roll making phenomenal beats in Logic and I don't wanna interrupt the flow with a new learning curve right now

That's amazing @PLV Music I just got a demo from a producer who uses Logic and the piece already sounds mastered...hahaha ! So I'm definitely getting started on Logic as my next DAW. Thanks

I know what you mean @Folasona Olorunsola Drums are essential. Looks like Logic is the way to go....though Ableton will always be my soft spot! Keep on making the dope beats!!

I vote for Logic too. Logic used to come with demos of commercial tracks produced entirely in Logic. If you don't like all of the plugins, you only have to replace a few that you don't care for. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Logic's limiters. I use Fabfilter instead. Cheers.

I have cubase pro 11 and they have pretty much everything you need and the stock plugins are top notch and no joke.

I currently use Nuendo 11 because I also do film mixing. It's one of the most versatile DAWs I know and has every imaginable feature except Object-based editing.

But Ableton has the best sounding stock EQ. Some filter algorithms in Ableton Stock Plugins is licensed from Cytomic, who are known for their high quality analog sounding filters.

I would not recommend Logic Pro. The stock plugins don't really sound good and you can't import 32bit audio files.

Does Logic still come with the commercial tracks? @Darryl Wood What's up with Logic's limiter?

Interesting I've never heard of Nuendo before. What do you mean Object based editing?

Nuendo is the bigger brother of Cubase. It can do everything Cubase can do plus with additional features for film and game audio. I would recommend Cubase to get you started. It has everything you need for good mixing and mastering.

With object based editing you can edit sections of an audio track in real time (e.g. with inserts) without rendering or cutting and moving different sections to another track.
