Let's go with a pop-rock one. The challenge is to recreate a fragment of the song "my ex's best friend" from Machine Gun Kelly and Blackbear (chorus between 1:33 and 2:04).
It would be great if some vocalist recorded and shared a vocal track.

I've had my very first go at a remake. The vocals are nowhere near and I'm sure all your ears will lots of things to be improved! :-) If you could give me any feedback, even if it' just one thing that would improve it, I'd be eternally grateful.
Hi Dave. Battery sounds are similar to originals, but I think they can be improved by stacking more samples. The kick lacks punch due to this in my opinion. Nice guitar sound. Original have chords on the left and the rest of guitars manly on the right, This is why the stereo image is wider in the original. Bass sounds good. Overall, in the mix I miss some fullness, maybe in the mid-low area. Good job Dave. Thanks for participating.
@Nesor I hope you feel better now ! No problem :) @Dave I agree with Nesor, I couldn't tell you what to improve, but after reading him I agree 100% ! Also Id love to hear more of the vocal, maybe it need more clarity and free space for it, in the center of the stereo and in the frequencies of the vocal. Hope you'll join the team !
Hi Guys, Thanks for the feedback...had lots of fun doing it and will be be joining in with the next one. 😊
2 props
