Do you guys see what you see - even though SoundGym gives a message along the lines see you tomorrow for the next workout, in reality tomorrow means in 24 hours (or tomorrow in a different time zone???). If I complete a workout in the afternoon or evening, the next workout will not be available to me in the morning on the next day. It will only be available in the evening of the next day, 24 hours after I completed my today's workout. This makes it challenging to do workouts daily, as I do not necessarily have time for it at the same time of the day, weekdays through weekends.
This is one of my favorite videos, and I thought you all might enjoy it. It's a short TV documentary showing Martin Hannett (producer, best known for Joy Division) walking Tony Wilson (the head of Factory Records) through the analog mixing process. It's July, 1980, at Strawberry Studios, Stockport, on a custom Formula Sound console, and the song is 'The Visitor' by Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls.
I am better than 10% of users. I know I know, I've already given myself a big pat on the back. That pretty much means my ears are off with the screaming sirens, or somewhere deep under the slime, in a swamp, fermenting. I've understood the mission and have now subscribed to Monthly because if my ears are that bad, I actually need to be here (I'm not an AI but I'll use the not for the...) not for the accolades, fame and splendour of Diamond Ears, but simply to drag myself squirming and screaming, out of the mud. Hopefully if things go well.... Well... At least things can't get any worse. 😂
Welcome to the mountain, Lee! I totally endorse your idea of regular practice. I also still have far far to go, but coming here maybe 5 times a week for a few months, noticing my ears getting more attuned and sensitive - it's been fun and encouraging - hope you have the same experience!
