Mixing sounds better on headphones than monitors: absolutely true or never in a million years?
🎧 You hit play and it sounds way better in your headphones… or does it? Some producers swear by their cans, others say nothing beats a good pair of monitors.

Do you have access to a piano? the middle A on your piano resonates at 440 Hz. An octave ABOVE, resonates at 880 Hz. Twice the frequency, right? An octave above is twice the Hz. and octave BELOW, is HALF the Hz. 220 is ALSO an A, but a BASS A. at 110 Hz, its also an A but even LOWER. When you get into the super low basses where kick drums are, 80 Hz, 20 Hz, and bass synths, those are recognizable by note values as well. Google the Hz note values, learn them on your piano, and those are the frequencies of audible sound...for humans anyway. I hope that helps. If you want to identify them= same process. You can easily learn to identify frequencies just as you can easily identify notes, its called having perfect pitch.
